Elementary students march in the 2023 Parade.
The Homecoming parade is a long standing tradition with many different groups who participate. Just some of the floats will include one from each grade level, cheer, FFA, etc. Each group with a float will follow the route and throw candy to those who are watching the parade.
The theme for this years Homecoming is “The Great Gatsby” so the class floats will be inspired by the 1920s and the flapper style. Floats should be lined up by 4:15 p.m. and the parade will begin at 5 p.m. with float judging to follow it.
The parade will follow its typical route throughout downtown Mooresville. South on Indiana to Main Street, turn left (east) then turn left (north) onto Maple, then one more left turn on Church St. (west) back to Indiana and where the high school is located.
Each grade is currently working hard to build their floats after school and on weekends. If students would like to participate in helping build the float they should reach out to their class sponsor.
