Any Pioneer willing to donate money and participate in fronting the cold water to support an important cause is invited to participate in the Polar Plunge. The Polar Plunge is a fun and exciting event that allows the students to run into cold water and back out to help support the Special Olympics.
This fundraiser is taking place at the Eagle Creek Beach on March 1, 2024. It is highly advised to bring a towel, old shoes or water shoes and warm clothes to change into after plunging. The total fundraising goal for all students of Mooresville is $1000 and each individual must bring $99 to the table.
At around 10:30 a.m. Mooresville and multiple of other schools’ students will be running into the water. After the plunge, they will likely be dinning at Rick’s Boatyard for lunch, so make sure to bring money for food. The only restriction for this event is the student has to be at least 12 years old, but if they are under 18 they need a parent signature.
