With May quickly moving along, that also means that graduation will be here soon. Many seniors have already started to send out invites for their grad parties or at least have set a date.
Senior Katie Bradshaw is having a unique open house.
“My grad party is actually on a boat. I have been planning this since the beginning of March. We are catering Subway subs and having a bunch of fruits and small snacks,” Bradshaw said.
There is much planning that goes into these parties. This includes, decorations, pictures, invites, and even house cleaning.
Junior graduate Sami Shelley is having a sports themed open house.
“I’m really excited to see everyone at my party and get to chat with them. I’m very social, so I think that will be one of my favorite parts. I have been planning this since the middle of January. Sports was a huge part of my high school career. We are having a hot dog bar and a table with ballpark snacks and drinks like root beer floats and lemonade,” Shelley said.
Many seniors have been planning this and making reservations for dinner, nail appointments, and even photographers.
Senior Jordan Boles is catering Chick-Fil-A.
“I’m so excited to see so many of my friends and family. We have been planning this for five to six months and I am so excited for this next chapter in my life,” Boles said.
Office Secretary Michelle Lynn is planning an open house for her son Elijah Lynn.
“From the last open house, to this one, I would say the only change would be the decorations, but I also went from a daughter to a son. This time around, it is at my home so I’m hoping for a nice day so that we can be outside. My favorite part is definitely looking at the pictures and seeing friends and family,” Lynn said.
