Every year Mooresville High School students campaign and run for class officers positions. They help with making important decisions for their class.
Lynn talks about how she is excited for all of the new presidents this year.
Guidance secretary Michelle Lynn talks about how excited she is for this year.
“I’m really focusing this year on officer responsibilities and letting the students run the student council. Homecoming comes fast and furious so that’s our main focus right now,” Lynn said.
Freshman vice president Khloe Goode has been vice president before in elementary school.
“I am excited to be vice president. I like how I am there when I am needed but not the main person in charge. I would love to stick with vice president in the future,” Goode said.
Zheng has no prior experience but he is ecstatic.
“I think this will look great on college applications. I’m a little nervous about this year but overall excited to see what happens,” Zheng said.
Sophomore- Jacey Bell has been a class president in the previous years.
“I am really excited to be president! This year I decided to campaign and run for president again! I was reelected and I was very excited about this because my papaw was class president at Mooresville High School many years ago,. I am also very excited to meet the new freshman officers” Bell said.
Junior Sidney Stultz
“I am pumped to be the junior class president! I have been vice president of the student body in middle school and I really enjoyed it. I’m most excited to decorate for prom. That is one thing I have always wanted to help Mrs. Mills with,” Stultz said
Senior Ruth Parker explains how she is excited to be president of the 2025 graduating class.
“I’ve been communicating with other officers and I am super excited for this year! We want to bring some traditions from the past, back. For example, the staff vs student basketball game. We would love to host more spirit days and decorate the school for exciting weeks. I am excited to be a peoples president and be open to what other people have to say,”
