The holidays bring many traditions for all. Some students that go to Mooresville High School travel for the holidays and some celebrate from the comfort of their home. All of the Mooresville students have unique ways that they spend the holidays.
Junior Carson Hebert hung out with his family over Christmas break.
“I celebrate with my whole family and even my extended family. We go down to Louisiana because that’s where most of my family is. And then on New Years Eve, we have a huge assortment of fireworks that we light. Its a tradition in my family to eat this amazing seafood and meet as much Louisiana family as possible,” Hebert said.
The holiday time is unique for all students and their families. Some have traditions that they participate in yearly that make this time special.
Senior Patience Viles talked about how she spent the holidays.
“I celebrated the holidays with my family and friends at home. My favorite thing we did was a polar express train my family rode to the ‘North Pole’. My family does this unique tradition where the day before Christmas Eve all of my siblings come over and help wrap gifts for my nieces and nephews,” Viles said.
Office Secretary Kelli Young had a great holiday season.
“We had a lot of family time this year. I love the holiday season especially since I still have the younger kids, I love seeing the excitement from them! We also have a traditional baking day where Santa also appears,” Young said.
