Mooresville has a new attraction added into its community. Located at 310 Indianapolis Rd, Suite E, a new business called Sonshine Park was established.
This place could be a good first job for someone living in Mooresville who is trying to gain some work experience. As a matter of fact there are a couple of kids from Mooresville High School that work here including senior Rebecca Schulz.
“It is a pretty chill job with no stress involved. If we have down time, I can do some homework, read or even play golf if I feel like it,” Schulz said.
This new pickleball and golf simulation area is great for people to have fun, be active, and build connections with others. This space is welcoming to all different ages, allowing kids to burn off their energy, and letting adults get some activity in. This is a positive place for people to gather and return to anytime.
“They wanted to open it up for the public to give people something new and fun,” senior Lyla Jacobs said.
Even with many people enjoying this new attraction, some don’t realize the amount of work that went into making this place come to life. It was a group effort that was a lengthy process, with many different steps involved to help create this attraction. Much attention was put into every detail of this place from the construction to the layout of it.
“It took a lot of long days, nights and a whole lot of teamwork involved. Our main focus was on making a space the community would enjoy, ” General Manager Cory Merriman said.
The hope is that Sonshine Park can become a positive place for the community to gather, connect with many other people, have time to relax, and play pickleball or golf with friends and family.
