Promised a life that was easy? Try getting blasted by the fire of a dragon. Dungeons and Dragons is a co-op based game where you have to work with other people to beat quests.

Lots of types of people play Dungeons and Dragons. Take sophomore Breelyn Bower for example, she is on her first campaign ever and is very involved in what’s going on.

“Our campaign is currently in a modern society, and we go into relatively normal places, like Walmart to fight people,” Bower said.

When you play dungeons and dragons you have a set of dice that has multiple different faced dice. These allow you to roll for various different like power-ups and or your attacks you want to do. You can also customize dice or buy them in multiple different colors.

The Dungeon Master is the person that runs the campaign and takes them on all of their quests. The players could go on a big adventure that takes a lot of time or small quests just to try and give them upgrades.

Sohpomore Shyenne Demoss is also a member of D&D club, where she is on her first campaign.

“The character I’m playing as is a Bard, her race is like a dark elf. They come from underground and it’s basically like the underworld,” Demoss said.

When playing D&D players have their campaign, the campaign they are playing is between two warring cities. These cities have been at war for centuries and they’re not letting up.

“In our last session, we tried to get them to sign a peace treaty, but one of our party members betrayed us, so we’re currently in battle with that member,” Demoss said.

With D&D being such a popular game throughout the world theirs no wonder that it’s a club at our school. The outcome of most of these events is a giant battle at the end defeating the final boss, and who knows maybe Mooresville’s D&D club will defeat that final boss.
