Prom is right around the corner, and students may be looking for information about everything this entails. This is all the prom information in one place for students to reference.
What
- Prom is a night for students to enjoy themselves and have fun.
- The theme for the decorations will be “Where Desert Meets the Stars”.
Who
- All current MHS juniors and seniors in good academic standing are invited. They are allowed to bring an underclassman date if they wish but must accompany them the whole time. Non-MHS guests are also allowed but must be pre-approved by the office and have to be under the age of 21. Guest forms are available in the office and must be turned in by April 24.
When
- Prom will be on May 2 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.. Post-Prom will follow beginning at 11 p.m. and going until 2 a.m. in the South Gym.
Where
- Prom is at the Biltwell Event Center the address is 950 S White River Pkwy Dr W, Indianapolis 46221. There is free parking behind the venue and across the street for attendees. Directions to the Biltwell can be found here.
Tickets
- Ticket sales are currently underway and will end on Monday, April 27. They can be bought before school in the bookstore(located by the grand hallway) and at both lunches in the cafeteria. Students can use card or apple pay both before school and during lunch, but cash will only be accepted before school.
- Tickets are $60 each and include admission to post-prom.
- If students would like to attend just post-prom those tickets are $10 each at the door.
Food
- Light snacks and beverages will be served during prom but no full meal.
- Post-prom will have a large variety of food for students such as pizza, pasta, and more.
Court
- There are currently links for students to submit nominations for the Prom Court
- Once the nominations are gathered, student will first vote on who is on the court and then vote separately on King/Queen (seniors) and Prince/Princess (Juniors).
- Juniors may only vote / nominate juniors and seniors nominate/vote seniors
