Homecoming Nails

Homecoming at Mooresville High School takes place this year on September 16th. With homecoming close by, people are getting their nails done at various different locations. Some examples of different locations are, Angel Nails, VIP, Besties Nails, and Pop-Up Nails. People also are getting press-on nails to save money this year. The newest trend this year is almond-shaped nails, no matter if you obtain press-on nails. Most individuals want to go with the trend, so short, modest nails are what most students are acquiring.

Mooresville’s French Teacher Mrs. Butler, gets her nails done at B & T Nails. Located at 451 N Town Center Rd, Mooresville.

“I love going there with my daughter,” Butler said.

This year is Tori Hamilton’s last homecoming, so she wants to go all out. Hamilton is getting her nails done at Angel Nails located in Mooresville. Tori is getting black almond-shaped nails, with the ring finger being a French tip.

“A full set there is around $45, it’s cheap and I know I am getting good results,” Hamilton said.

Junior Emily Dean is getting press-on nails at her work, Ulta in Plainfield. Dean is getting short almond-shaped nails, with a gold swoop line going through each nail.

“Since I work there, I get a discount from $15 to $11.25. I picked them because they go really well with my dress,” Dean said.

Junior Grace Eads decided to pick Pop Up Nails for her acrylics this year. She chose Pop Up Nails because it is the closest nail salon to her house. Eads wants to get short almond-shaped nails, taking on the nail trend for this year.

“I chose regular French tip nails because it is very simple, I always loved the simple look,” Eads said.

Junior Kylia Pike is unequivocally getting her nails done at VIP Nails, located at 10302 Prosperity Cir, Camby. Pike wants to bring out her nails on homecoming night with long square nails.

“I wanted to get something to make the color of my dress pop, so I’m getting long, French tip nails with jewels,” Pike said.
